Mary's love for antiques began at a young age. As a teen, Mary remembers stopping at
a neighborhood antique store on the way home from high school and looking at all of the
wonderful old things they had on display. Even when she went to college, Mary would
often stop by a local antique dealer to see the latest treasures. After college--and
with her degree in education--she taught for two years in the Seattle school district,
but her passion for antiques did not subside. In 1975, she decided to combine her love
for history, her love of antiques, with her desire to create her own antique business
and bogart, bremmer & bradley Antiques was born. Why bogart, bremmer & bradley she
is often asked? Her answer: "The names have no particular meaning, but they sound good
together and multiple name businesses were a trend at the time."

Mary opened her first shop at the corner of Northwest 59th Street and Phinney Avenue North
in what was then known as Seattle's "antique row." After a brief two years, the building
her shop was in was sold and torn down to build condos.
